TUQ AGM 2005
The Tenants' Union Annual General Meeting was held in New Farm on Friday 23rd September.
Queensland Attorney General, Linda Lavarch was guest speaker and officially launched the Tenants' Union Small Claims Tribunal video "Having Your Say". In her presentation Ms Lavarch reiterated the importance of access to the court system and commended the excellent work undertaken by the Tenants' Union.
This event was an opportunity for members, tenants, colleagues and supporters to hear reports from staff and committee and to celebrate our achievements over the past year. Special thanks to all those who were able to attend.
The AGM is also a time to thank the volunteer Steering Committee members for their hard work during the year and to vote in the new committee. Amy Raleigh and Maria Leebeck did not re-nominate this year and we thank them for their work on the steering committee over the years.
